Standard Terms & Conditions

  1. Payment Terms:
  • Full payment is required for all purchases prior to dispatch.
  • Acceptable payment methods include electronic transfer, cash and credit/debit card.
  • For cash deposits: Deposits under R2,500 incur a R60 bank charge; for deposits over R2,500, please add 3.1% to your total before payment.
  • Payments must be complete and without deductions.
  1. Order Placement:
  • Orders must be placed in writing via email, WhatsApp or our online store.
  • Any other method of ordering shall be deemed invalid.
  1. Jurisdiction:
  • By engaging with us, you agree to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s Court in any disputes, regardless of the claim amount (ref Section 45 of Act 32 of 1944, or any amendment thereof).
  1. Product Warranty:
  • Products are warranted against defects and in good working order.
  • We offer free replacement of defective parts and labour for repairs on our premises, where such replacement is necessary as a sole and direct result of inherent defect in the parts.
  • Warranty excludes damages from misuse, natural disasters, power surges or neglect.
  • Specific terms apply to different products and parts:
    • Refrigeration Equipment – 12 months from date of invoice;
    • Catering and all other related equipment – 6 to 12 months from date of invoice.
  • No refunds, exchanges or credit on any electrical parts or circuit boards
  • Beaters of Soft Serve, Slush and Juice Machines are consumable items and not covered by any warranty.
  • Machines repaired under warranty must be collected within 90 days of repair completion. After this period machines will be sold to defray costs.
  • Warranty will be void if machine is transported flat or tilted more than 45 degrees.
  • Condenser, compressor, fan and motors need to be dust free and cleaned at least once a month or warranty will be void.
  • Regular services by qualified technicians are necessary or warranty will be void.
  • Three (3) months carry-in warranty on all services and parts replaced by Soft-Ice.
  • All Warranties and Guarantees of locally supplied products are provided by their respective manufacturers and Not by Soft-Ice cc.

  1. Claims Procedure:
  • Claims for defective parts require the original invoice as proof of purchase along with full client details and reason for repair, exchange or replacement.
  • Management approval is needed for refunds and exchanges.
  1. Liability for Transportation:
  • Customers bear all costs for transporting defective parts/machines whether under warranty or not.
  • Inspect goods upon receipt and before signing the courier’s waybill.
  1. International Customers:
  • For international claims, labour and workmanship costs are excluded from the warranty.
  • Defective parts must be sent back to us for replacement.
  1. Delivery and Responsibility:
  • Responsibility for products passes to the customer upon dispatch or collection.
  • Customers are responsible for courier and transport costs and are advised to insure goods in transit.
  1. Consequential Loss:
  • We are not liable for indirect losses or liabilities due to product defects or workmanship.
  1. Authorisation:
  • The signatory of the agreement warrants their authority to accept these terms and conditions.
  1. Entire Agreement:
  • These terms represent the complete agreement between Soft-Ice cc and the customer.
  1. POPI Act Compliance:
  • Engaging with us implies consent to use personal information in accordance with the POPI Act.
