Terms and Conditions
- Payment Terms
- Full payment required before dispatch (EFT, cash, or card). No Items will be released prior to funds reflecting in Soft Ice cc’ Account.
- Cash deposits: ≤ R2,500 → R60 fee; > R2,500 → 3.1% surcharge.
- All bank charges for client’s account.
- Orders
- Only written orders (email/online) are accepted. Verbal orders are void.
- Jurisdiction
- All transactions subject to the Magistrate’s Court (Sec. 45, Act 32 of 1944), regardless of claim amount.
- Product Warranty – General
- Equipment is warranted free from manufacturing defects on delivery.
- Defects due to inherent manufacturing faults repaired at Soft-Ice CC (parts & labour).
- Excludes damage from misuse, negligence, power surges, transport, or natural causes.
- Uncollected repairs after 90 days may be sold to recover costs.
- Warranty Periods

- Beaters, belts, gears, bearings, filters, seals, gaskets, blades etc. are consumables subject to wear and excluded from warranty.
- Refrigeration Gas System – 6 Months
- Covers leaks/system failure due to gas loss only (within 6 months from invoice).
- Void if caused by mishandling, vibration, tampering, or lack of servicing.
- Monthly service required with proof; inspection by Soft-Ice CC mandatory.
- Maintenance
- Do not tilt/transport > 45°.
- Clean condensers, compressors, fans monthly – failure voids warranty.
- Work must be done by qualified technicians with proof.
- Parts replaced by Soft-Ice CC carry 3-month warranty.
- External brands: covered by manufacturer only.
- Claims
- Submit original invoice, full packaging, customer details, and fault description.
- Refunds/exchanges subject to management approval.
- Transport
- All transport (including warranty returns) is at customer’s cost.
- Inspect goods before signing courier documents.
- International Orders
- Labour/workmanship not covered. Defective parts must be returned at customer’s expense.
- Risk & Insurance
- Risk transfers to customer upon dispatch or pickup.
- Insurance recommended for courier transport.
- All courier costs for customer’s account.
- Consequential Loss
- Soft-Ice CC is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, or downtime.
- Authority
- By purchasing or accepting delivery, the signatory confirms legal authority and acceptance of these Terms.
- Entire Agreement
- These Terms constitute the full and final agreement between Soft-Ice CC and the customer.
- POPIA
- By engaging with Soft-Ice CC, you consent to the lawful collection and processing of personal information in compliance with POPIA.
General Exclusions – Electrical Supply & Power Sources
- No cover for loss or damage arising from:
- Load shedding, grid failure, or blackouts.
- Repeated on/off cycling, wear, or depreciation due to unstable supply.
- Unsafe or unsuitable electrical setups, including:
- Extension cords or multi-plug adapters
- Unstable, fluctuating, or irregular power sources
- Undersized/non-compliant wiring or circuit breakers
- Unregulated or undersized generators or temporary event power
Warranty Conditions – Service & Maintenance
- All refrigeration-based units (e.g. slush & soft-serve machines) must be serviced every 6 months by Soft-Ice CC or its authorised agent.
- Service costs are chargeable and excluded from warranty.
- Failure to maintain service intervals voids warranty.
- Warranty excludes consumables, wear & tear, neglect, misuse, and damage from excluded conditions above.
