Terms and Conditions
- Payment Terms:
- Full payment required before dispatch via EFT, cash, or card.
- Cash deposits: R2,500 or less → R60 fee; over R2,500 → 3.1% surcharge. All bank charges for client’s account.
- Order Placement:
- Only accepted in writing (email/online) verbal orders are void.
- Jurisdiction:
- All orders subject to Magistrate’s Court jurisdiction (Sec. 45, Act 32 of 1944). Regardless of claim amount.
- Product Warranty – General:
- All equipment is guaranteed to be free of manufacturing defects on delivery.
- Free parts & labour at our premises for defects solely caused by inherent manufacturing.
- Excluded from warranty: Damage due to misuse, negligence, abuse, natural disasters, power surges and transport.
- Repairs must be collected within 90 days, or machines may be sold to recover costs.

- Consumables – No Warranty:
- Beaters, belts, gears, bearings, filters, seals, gaskets, etc., are consumables and not covered. These parts are
expected to wear out during normal use; any failure is not covered; replacements are chargeable.
- Refrigeration Gas System – 6 Months:
- Coversleaks/system failure due to gas loss only within a strict 6-month warranty from the invoice date.
- Void if caused by mishandling, vibration, transport damage, tampering, unauthorized repairs or environmental factors.
- All claims require Soft Ice cc inspection and approval, monthly servicing required with proof, or warranty void.
- Maintenance (Mandatory):
- Do not transport flat or tilt more than >45°.
- Clean condensers, compressors, fans and motors monthly or warranty will be void.
- Service must be done by a qualified technician with proof.
- We provide a 3 month carry-in warranty on parts and labour if replaced by Soft-Ice cc.
- External brands are covered by manufacturer’s warranty only and NOT by Soft-Ice cc.
- Claim Procedures:
- Require original invoice, original packaging, customer details, and detailed fault description.
- Refunds/exchanges subject to management’s approval.
- Transport Liability:
- All transport costs, including faulty items, are the customer’sresponsibility under warranty or not.
- Inspect goods before signing courier documents.
- International Orders:
- Labour and workmanship are not covered under warranty. Defective parts must be returned at customer’s expense.
- Risk Transfer:
- Risk passes to customer on dispatch or pickup. Insurance recommended if transported via courier. All courier costs are
for the customer’s account.
- Consequential Loss:
- Soft-Ice cc is not liable for indirect damages, including downtime, loss of profits or business interruption
related to product failure or repairs.
- Authority:
- By purchasing or accepting delivery, the signatory confirms they hold legal authority to bind the customer/company
to this agreement and that you have read and understand these Terms & Conditions.
- Entire Agreement:
- These terms represent the complete agreement between Soft-Ice cc and the customer.
- POPIA Compliance:
- By engaging, you consent to collection and processing of personal information under POPIA.
